PHILLIPS WINS AT MARSHALLTOWN; RAIN AT FARLEY

Springfield, Missouri star Terry Phillips bagged his first feature win of the 2018 racing season on Thursday night, May 10 in a last minute trip to Marshalltown Speedway in Marshalltown, Iowa! Driving an IMCA Modified out of Jordan Grabouski's stable, Terry finished second in his heat race and later drew the outside of the front row in the 25-lap feature event. TP never relinquished the top spot throughout the distance and claimed the $1,000 winner's share ahead of Johnny Scott, Tyler Droste, Stormy Scott, and Todd Shute. The 'Super Modified Weekend' at Farley Speedway in Farley, Iowa over the May 11-12 weekend was then washed out, but the $50,000 to win IMCA Modified special is supposed to be rescheduled in the future. TERRY PHILLIPS SOLID IN OKLAHOMA DOUBLE-DIP

Terry Phillips and his #75 TPR team were back on the USMTS trail on May 5-6 in a pair of races at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma and Creek County Speedway in Kellyville, Oklahoma. On Saturday evening at Tri-State Speedway, Terry won his heat race and led the first seventeen circuits of the $3,000 to win headliner before winding up fourth in the final rundown of the 40-lapper behind only winner Zack VanderBeek, Rodney Sanders, and Jake O'Neil. At Creek County Speedway on Sunday night, TP advanced to third in his heat race prior to moving up to seventh in the $2,500 to win main event, which also featured a myriad of different bonus money and awards. PHILLIPS RUNNER-UP IN TRIPLEHEADER OPENER
(April 30, 2018)
Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) followed the USMTS tour to a trio of different racetracks from April 27-29. On Friday night in a $3,000 to win shootout at West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Terry Phillips won his heat race, led the first 27 laps in the headliner, and finished a strong runner-up behind only race winner Lucas Schott. In a similar $3,000 to win battle on Saturday evening at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, Terry won his heat race, but an opening lap crash in the headliner dropped him to twenty-first in the final finishing order. At Enid Speedway in Enid, Oklahoma on Sunday in the $2,500 to win weekend finale, TP advanced to finish fourth in his heat race prior to placing eleventh in the feature event, which saw limited to no passing. TP NABS PAIR OF TOP FIVES IN NEW MEXICO!

The #75 TPR team was in the pit area from April 20-22 at Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico, as the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) presided over the 'Rancho Milagro Short Track Shootout.' On Friday night in the $3,000 to win opener, Terry Phillips won his heat race before moving up to finish third in the 40-lapper behind only winner Stormy Scott and runner-up Jake O'Neil. In a similar $3,000 to win show on Saturday evening, Terry placed second in heat race action prior to advancing up to fourth in the 40-lap affair to cross underneath the checkers behind only victor Jake O'Neil, Johnny Scott, and Bumper Jones. At SNMS on Sunday afternoon in the weekend finale, which boasted a $2,500 payday, TP finished third in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and thirteenth in the 40-lap headliner that was contested on a one-groove racing surface. TERRY PHILLIPS SOLID IN CANYON DOUBLEHEADER

Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) headed west to Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Arizona on April 13-14, as the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) presided over a pair of $3,000 to win shootouts. On Friday night, Terry Phillips ran sixth in his heat race, third in his B-Main, and tenth in the 35-lap feature event after maneuvering past seven racecars. At Canyon on Saturday evening, TP placed third in heat race action before piloting his #75 machine by six competitors during the 40-lapper en route to a strong fifth place outing behind only victor Jake O'Neil, Ricky Thornton, Jr., Johnny Scott, and Lucas Schott. PHILLIPS HEADS SOUTH TO TEXAS WITH CCSDS

Terry Phillips and his #75 TPR team made a last minute call and ventured south to Texas in search of warmer weather over the March 30-31 weekend. In a $2,000 to win COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) showdown on Friday night at Timberline Speedway in Corley, Texas, Terry finished fifth in his heat race and won his B-Main before placing thirteenth in the final rundown of the 30-lap headliner. At Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas on Saturday evening in a $3,110 to win CCSDS shootout, TP ran fifth in his heat race, third in his B-Main, and seventeenth in the 40-lapper. TP INVADES HUMBOLDT FOR KING OF AMERICA VIII
(March 18, 2018)
Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) invaded Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas from March 15-17 for 'King of America VIII,' which was once again sanctioned by the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS). In Thursday night's $2,500 to win weekend lid lifter, Terry Phillips won his heat race from the pole position and later finished tenth in the 40-lapper, which featured little passing. On Friday evening in the prelims for the $10,000 to win 'King of America,' Terry placed third in his first heat race of the night, but unfortunately suffered a flat tire and ran seventh in his final heat race. In the C-Main on Saturday, TP got a hole in the radiator early in the race, which effectively ended his weekend and caused him not to be able to transfer into the 75-lap headliner. PHILLIPS HEADS TO DEEP SOUTH WITH USMTS GANG
(March 11, 2018)
Terry Phillips unloaded his Open Wheel Modified for the first time in 2018 over the March 9-10 weekend in the state of Mississippi with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS). On Friday night in a $3,000 to win shootout at Jackson Motor Speedway near Jackson, Mississippi, Terry finished fifth in his heat race and second in his B-Main before starting the 40-lap headliner from the outside of the eighth row. TP then blasted all the way up to the fourth position with only 8 laps remaining, but a flat tire relegated him to a seventeenth place showing.

In a similar $3,000 to win program for the USMTS gang on Saturday evening at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi, Terry was unfortunately disqualified in his heat race due to a deck height infraction that was caused by a racing incident the night prior. He then stormed up to second in his B-Main before climbing to eleventh in the final finishing order of the 40-lap main event.
