(January 17, 2016) Things wrapped up in the desert tonight with the 'Wild West Shootout' finale at USA (AZ) Raceway. The six-race miniseries in Tucson concluded with a 50-lap throwdown, which boasted a record-high $11,000 payday to the winner. Terry Phillips won his heat race from the third starting spot and later rolled off from the outside of the second row in the A-Main. After running inside of the top five through much of the distance, TP unfortunately slapped the wall late in the running and slipped back to eighth at the checkers. (Mike Ruefer Photo)

(January 16, 2016) The penultimate event of the 2016 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries was held tonight in front of a huge grandstand crowd at USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona. Terry Phillips ran third in his stacked race and later finished second in his B-Main. TP then started the $5,000 to win feature from the inside of the tenth row before ultimately winding up being paid for an eighteenth place performance in the 30-lap feature.

(January 15, 2016) Race four of the 10th Annual 'Wild West Shootout' took center stage tonight at USA (AZ) Raceway and yet another $5,000 winner's check was up for grabs for the #75 TPR team. Terry Phillips moved up to sixth in his heat race prior to grabbing the third and final transfer spot through his B-Main. The Springfield, Missouri star was unfortunately the first retiree in the caution-free 30-lapper and was placed twenty-fourth in the final finishing order.

(January 13, 2016) Following a couple of days off, the desert heated back up tonight with the third leg of the 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries at USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona. Terry Phillips was unfortunately unable to transfer into the $5,000 to win feature event after finishing sixth in his stacked heat race and eighth in his B-Main.

(January 10, 2016) Round two of the 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries took to the track today at USA (AZ) Raceway and another $5,000 top prize was on the line in the unsanctioned Super Late Model spectacular. Springfield, Missouri standout Terry Phillips improved to third in his stacked heat race and later rolled off from the inside of the eighth row in the 30-lap main event. During the course of the caution-free affair, Terry unfortunately slipped back to an eighteenth place performance.

(January 9, 2016) The six-race 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries kicked off earlier today at USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona with a $5,000 to win showdown, which served as the season lid lifter for the #75 team. Terry Phillips started and finished second in his heat race and later grabbed the second transfer spot through his B-Main. After starting the 30-lapper from the inside of the eleventh row, TP drove past eleven competitors on the rough racing surface to start his year with a solid tenth place effort.

Terry Phillips and the #75 TPR team are scheduled to lift the lid on their 2016 campaign this weekend at USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona. The six-race 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries will be conducted from January 9-17 in the desert and a $5,000 top prize will be on the line each night with the exception of the finale, which will boast an $11,000 winner's check. In addition, the Keyser's Quarter-Million Challenge will put up a bonus of $50,000 for a driver to pick up four wins, a bonus of $100,000 to capture five victories, and a gargantuan $250,000 bonus to sweep all six events. Things will kick off in Tucson on Friday night with an open practice session, followed by the first two shows of the miniseries on Saturday and Sunday.
