PHILLIPS COMPETES IN $40K TOPLESS 100 AT BATESVILLE!

Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) stormed in Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on August 15-16 looking for their second straight 'Topless 100' title. On Friday night, Terry Phillips timed in fifth quickest in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and later grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his heat race behind only prelim winner Wendell Wallace and runner-up Steve Francis. After rolling off from the outside of the eighth row in Saturday's $40,000 to win crown jewel main event, Terry pitted during the first half of the 100-lapper and eventually wound up twentieth in the final finishing order. When night two of the 'King of the Hill Late Model Shootout' was rained-out at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska on Saturday evening, August 9, Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) salvaged the night by scurrying to the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Terry Phillips unloaded his Open Wheel Modified for the USMTS special and finished fifth in his heat race prior to scoring the victory in his B-Main. After rolling off from the outside of the seventh row in the 40-lap headliner, TP roared to the front of the field, took the top spot on lap 32, and led the remainder of the distance to secure the $3,000 top prize over Trevor Hunt, Cade Dillard, Jeremy Payne, and Rodney Sanders!

On Friday, August 8 in night one of the 'King of the Hill Late Model Shootout' at Junction (NE) Motor Speedway, Terry ran second in his heat race, which locked him into the inside of the third row for the start of the $2,000 to win Lucas Oil MLRA Series main event. Terry Phillips was back in United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) victory lane on Friday, August 1 at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas! Terry improved three spots in his heat race and later started the 35-lap main event from the inside of the fifth row. TP then worked his way forward to grab the point on lap 28 and led the remainder of the distance to score the $3,000 payday. Terry won his heat race on Thursday night and later placed third in the A-Qualifier, which ultimately locked him into the inside of the fourth row for Saturday's 100-lap headliner. PHILLIPS BUSY DURING SILVER DOLLAR NATIONALS
(July 20, 2014)
Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) stormed into I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 18-19 for the 4th edition of the 'Silver Dollar Nationals,' which was co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Terry Phillips finished eighth in his first heat race on Friday night and later earned a runner-up effort in his second prelim. TP then grabbed the second transfer spot through his B-Main on Saturday to transfer into the $30,000 to win headliner. The Springfield, Missouri star eventually wound up twenty-fourth in the 80-lap mega-event, which was won by Scott Bloomquist.

The USMTS tour was also on hand at I-80 over the weekend and Terry entered both programs over the weekend. On Friday, TP won his heat race and led laps 3-20 of the feature before landing in the third finishing position of the $3,000 to win race behind only winner Rodney Sanders and runner-up Dylan Smith. In Saturday's $4,000 to win showdown, Terry once again won his heat race before claiming a strong runner-up performance in the A-Main behind only victor Rodney Sanders. Terry Phillips and his #75 TPR team put on a full-out assault on Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas tonight, as they pulled double-duty with both the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the USMTS Modified Series during the 2nd Annual 'Clash of the Titans.' Behind the wheel of his Late Model, Terry timed in seventh fastest in Group A during qualifying and later placed third in his heat race behind only prelim winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Don O'Neal. Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) followed the Lucas Oil MLRA Series trail to Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri over the July 11-12 weekend for a pair of $10,000 to win battles, which were co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. On Friday night at Granite City, Terry Phillips finished fourth in his heat race prior to advancing six spots in the 'Battle at the Beach 50' to claim a solid tenth place effort. At Wheatland on Saturday evening, TP ran third in heat race action and later notched another tenth place performance in the annual running of the 'CMH Diamond Nationals.' Terry Phillips and his #75 team scored a pair of victories over the 4th of July holiday weekend in the states of Missouri and Oklahoma! On Thursday, July 3 at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri, Terry ran second in his heat race and later came out on top of the MARS DIRTcar Series feature event. TP grabbed the point on lap 35 from Will Vaught and led the remainder of the distance in the 40-lapper to secure the $3,000 payday over Vaught, Tony Jackson, Jr., Justin Asplin, and Jack Sullivan!

Next up was the inaugural 'Freedom Classic' at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma - a doubleheader co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series and MARS DIRTcar Series. On Friday night, July 4 at Salina, Terry finished second in heat race action prior to leading all thirty circuits in the A-Main to claim the $3,000 top prize over Chad Simpson, Tony Jackson, Jr., Jeremy Payne, and Jack Sullivan. Terry Phillips qualified twelfth fastest in Group A during time trials and later grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race behind only prelim winner Randy Korte, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Jack Sullivan. PHILLIPS TRAVELS TO ELDORA FOR DLM DREAM
(June 8, 2014)
Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) invaded the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 5-7 for the 20th edition of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' The action-packed, three-day weekend kicked off with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday night, Terry Phillips ran fourth in his heat race prior to winding up twentieth in the $2,500 to win main event. At the "Big E" on Friday evening, Terry finished sixth in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and thirteenth in the $5,000 to win feature event.

When Saturday rolled around at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant, all eyes were fixated on the hefty $100,000 winner's check in the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' Terry ran seventh in his loaded heat race and later finished thirteenth in his consolation race. Unfortunately, the Springfield, Missouri star was unable to advance into the 100-lap crown jewel main event, which was eventually won by Dale McDowell. 22ND ANNUAL LUCAS OIL SHOW-ME 100 RESULTS...

Things wrapped up tonight at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, as the final night of the 22nd Annual Lucas Oil 'Show-Me 100' took place in front of a huge crowd and a host of television cameras. Terry Phillips started the 100-lap extra-distance affair from the fifteenth position and had his sights set on a strong run in the $30,000 to win event. Unfortunately, he was involved in a lap 34 incident when he was caught up in a wreck with Billy Moyer, Jr. and was relegated to a twenty-third place performance.

(May 23, 2014) The stakes were raised tonight at Lucas Oil Speedway, as preliminary action was held for the 22nd edition of the Lucas Oil 'Show-Me 100,' which boasts a hefty $30,000 payday. A total of 65 drivers took part in time trials tonight for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) co-sanctioned event at the Wheatland, Missouri facility. Terry Phillips posted the sixteenth quickest lap in Group A during qualifying and later grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his heat race behind only prelim victor Jesse Stovall and runner-up Ryan Gustin. When the 100-lap 'Show-Me 100' rolls to green tomorrow evening, the Springfield, Missouri star will fire off from the inside of the eighth row!

(May 22, 2014) The huge three-day Lucas Oil 'Show-Me 100' weekend kicked off tonight at the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri with the inaugural running of the 'Cowboy Classic,' which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series. Terry Phillips timed in nineteenth fastest in Group A during the qualifying session and was not able to start either his heat race or his B-Main. After relying on an MLRA provisional to gain access into the $5,045 to win main event, TP retired early from the 45-lapper and wound up twenty-sixth in the final rundown.

On Friday night at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa, the Lucas Oil MLRA and Corn Belt Clash co-sanctioned a $3,000 to win showdown on the 1/4-mile fairgrounds oval. Terry Phillips won his heat race in preliminary action and later started fifth on the grid in the 40-lapper. During the course of the caution-free affair, Terry moved all the way up to second to finish a strong runner-up behind only victor Chris Simpson.
