PHILLIPS INVADES PARK JEFF & HAMILTON COUNTY

Terry Phillips and his #75 team continued on with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) over the June 4-5 weekend at Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, South Dakota and Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa. On Friday night in a $10,000 to win throwdown at Park Jeff, Terry ran sixth in his loaded heat race, second in his B-Main, and eleventh in the 35-lap feature event, which was contested on a mostly one-groove racing surface. At Webster City on Saturday evening in a similar USMTS contest, TP placed fourth in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and twenty-sixth in the 35-lapper after a broken brake line forced the Springfield, Missouri standout to retire after only ten circuits. BUSY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FOR TERRY PHILLIPS

A trio of $10,000 top prizes were on the line for Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) over the Memorial Day holiday weekend (May 28-30) in the states of Iowa and Minnesota with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS). On Friday night in the opener at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, Terry Phillips ran third in his heat race prior to starting the 40-lap feature from the inside of the fifth row. TP then moved up one spot during the course of the contest to leave the Hawkeye State oval with an eighth place performance.

At Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota on Saturday evening, Terry placed fourth in his loaded heat race, third in his B-Main, and fourteenth in the 40-lapper. In the weekend finale on Sunday at Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, Iowa, Terry unfortunately hit the wall hard in his heat race and was forced to unload a back-up car for the 40-lap headliner. The Springfield, Missouri superstar utilized a series provisional and then rallied past twelve competitors during the contest to land in the eleventh finishing position. PHILLIPS BACK IN USMTS ACTION; EIGHTH AT POCOLA
(May 16, 2021)
Terry Phillips and his #75 TPR team were back on the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) grind on May 14-15 in a doubleheader at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas and Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma. In the $10,000 to win show on Friday night at Lakeside, Terry advanced to fifth in his heat race, finished second in his B-Main, and later climbed to twelfth in the final rundown of the 35-lapper. At Pocola on Saturday evening in a similar $10,000 to win program, TP secured a heat race triumph, but slipped back three spots during the 40-lap headliner to close out the weekend with an eighth place performance. TERRY PHILLIPS SIXTH IN BAD BOY 98 OPENER

Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) made their way to Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on May 7-8 for the annual running of the 'Bad Boy 98.' In Friday night's $5,000 to win opener, Terry Phillips ran third in his stacked heat race prior to moving up to sixth in the 30-lap feature to trail only victor Jonathan Davenport, B.J. Robinson, Billy Moyer, Jr., Kyle Beard, and Morgan Bagley. At BMS on Saturday evening in the $12,000 to win grand finale, Terry placed fifth in his heat race, but later pulled off the racing surface early in the 68-lap main event and was relegated to an eighteenth place showing. PHILLIPS CASHES IN FOR THIRD WIN OF '21 SEASON!

Terry Phillips, of Springfield, Missouri, recorded his third feature win of the 2021 campaign on Saturday evening, May 1 at the nearby Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri! Terry blitzed from his eighth starting spot in his heat race to take home the prelim victory and he later rolled off from the pole position in the 20-lap weekly USRA Modified main event. TP then wired the feature field to bag the $750 windfall ahead of Chase Domer, Matt Johnson, Jason Pursley, and Dillon McCowan. HECTIC WEEK FOR PHILLIPS NETS TOP FIVE FINISH

The Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) team unloaded their Super Late Model from April 13-17 in five Lucas Oil MLRA Series shows in the states of Nebraska and Iowa. Terry Phillips showed speed during the hectic week and racked up a Top Five showing and an additional Top Ten effort. His best finish came on Thursday night on the 1/4-mile oval at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa. Terry ran second in his loaded heat race before winding up fifth at the checkers in the 40-lapper behind only $5,000 victor Billy Moyer, Jason Papich, Brian Shirley, and Ashton Winger!

Other finishes for the week for the #75 team included running fourteenth on Tuesday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska, ninth on Wednesday at Stuart Speedway in Stuart, Iowa, and twenty-fourth in the $10,555 to win 'Slocum 50' on Saturday at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa after winning a heat race and suffering an untimely flat tire early in the 50-lap feature. The Springfield, Missouri star also unfortunately missed out on the $5,000 to win headliner on Friday at the Burlington facility after placing seventh in his heat race and eighth in his B-Main. PHILLIPS BACK IN USMTS VICTORY LANE IN IOWA!

Terry Phillips, of Springfield, Missouri, recorded his second United States Modified Touring Series victory of the 2021 campaign on Friday night, April 2 in the inaugural 'USMTS Spring Challenge' opener at Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa! Terry won his heat race in preliminary action and later started from the outside of the second row in the 35-lap headliner. TP then wrestled away the top spot on the seventeenth circuit and led the rest of the way to pocket the $5,000 payday over Jake O'Neil, Dan Ebert, Johnny Scott, and Jason Hughes!

On Saturday evening, April 3, a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs in the final night of the 'USMTS Spring Challenge' at Hamilton County Speedway. Terry advanced two spots during his heat race to finish second and later rolled off from the outside of the front row in the 40-lap main event. He raced hard for the lead in the opening circuits, but unfortunately hit the wall on both the third and fourth lap, which knocked him out of the contest and relegated Terry to a disappointing twenty-sixth place outing. TERRY PHILLIPS STRONG DURING KOA WEEKEND!

The #75 TPR team was back in action with the USMTS gang on March 26-27 in the 'King of America X' at Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas. In the $5,000 to win opener on Friday night, Terry Phillips advanced to second in his heat race and then moved past a couple of competitors in the 50-lap feature to earn an impressive runner-up effort behind only winner Carlos Ahumada, Jr. At Humboldt on Saturday evening in the $20,000 to win KOA grand finale, Terry secured a victory in heat race action before knocking down a strong fourth place performance in the 60-lapper behind only victor Brooks Strength, Rodney Sanders, and Jake O'Neil. PHILLIPS CHARGES TO TOP TEN IN COW PATTY 50

Two more Comp Cams Super Dirt Series shows were on tap for the Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) team on March 19-20 in the state of Arkansas. On Friday night in the $5,000 to win 'Cow Patty 50' at Old No. 1 Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas, Terry Phillips finished sixth in his heat race after getting into the wall, ran third in his B-Main, and later blitzed past eleven competitors during the 40-lap feature to land in the eighth finishing position. At I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday evening in a similar $5,000 to win tilt, Terry placed third in his heat race before mechanical woes early in the feature dropped him to a disappointing twenty-second place showing. TP RUNS INTO ISSUES THROUGHOUT BOOTHILL WEEKEND

Next up on the racing calendar for the #75 team was a visit to Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, Louisiana on March 12-13 for a pair season-opening events on the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) tour. In the annual 'Ronny Adams Memorial' opener on Friday night, which boasted a $3,000 payday, Terry Phillips placed fifth in his heat race, but unfortunately ran into problems during his B-Main and missed out on the 30-lap feature event. At Boothill on Saturday evening in the $7,000 to win finale, Terry finished sixth in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and sixteenth in the 40-lap headliner. PHILLIPS DRAWS FIRST BLOOD IN USMTS LID LIFTER!

Terry Phillips, of Springfield, Missouri, bagged his first feature win of the young 2021 racing season in the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) opener on Friday night, March 5 at RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas! After advancing to second in his heat race, Terry started the 50-lap main event from the outside of the front row. TP then wired the feature field to draw first blood during the USMTS season and recorded the $10,000 top prize for leading flag-to-flag over Carlos Ahumada, Jr., Tyler Davis, Dereck Ramirez, and Jake O'Neil!

In Saturday's $10,000 to win USMTS program at RPM Speedway, Terry secured a heat race triumph before rolling off from the inside of the third row in the 50-lapper. He then streaked to the lead and held the top spot from laps 9-20 before slipping back to eighth by the time the checkered flag flew over the standout field of open wheel warriors.
